Spore Creature Creator Released

Those who cant wait for Spore to be released now have something to tie them over. Electronic Arts have released Spore Creature Creator Trial to be downloaded for free from the Spore website, this allows the eager evolutionary tinkerers out there to start creating creatures before the full game is released. These created creatures can be uploaded to the Spore servers and be a part of the game so that when the full game is finally released, players with an internet connection will be a part of a living breathing universe, populated by all manner of strange beasts.
The trial version is only a demo of the retail version, containing about 25% of the content of the retail version which is on sale in Europe and North America for $9.99 and €9.99 respectively. Both the trial version and the full retail version allow people to share their creatures with each other, as well as a way to upload them to You Tube.
There are reports that anyone buying the retail version of Creature Creature will get a full rebate if they decide to purchase the Spore game once it is released, that means if people pay $9.99 for CC and then buy the Spore game, they will be refunded the $9.99 they paid for CC.
So far almost half a million creatures created with CC, either the demo or full version have been uploaded to the Spore servers to allow for a populated universe once the game goes live. EA have announced that the game Spore will be released september 7 2008.
