The Sims 3 World Adventures
October 30, 2009

Rumours that the first expansion for The Sims 3 would allow your sims to travel have been circling for months now, and the confirmation everyone was waiting for finally arrived at GamesCom in Germany recently with the announcement of The Sims 3 World Adventures.
The Sims 3 World Adventures will introduce three new locations to your The Sims 3 game environment, and we’re not just talking new neighbourhoods this time - we’re talking China, France and Egypt - and there is much more to do at each new location than just pay a quick visit before returning home.
The Sims 3 World Adventures will grant you a basic level-zero visa which allows you to take two-day trips to the new locations to start with, but you can eventually raise to a level-three which will allow you to take longer trips and eventually even purchase a holiday home in the new destinations.
How do you raise the level of your visa? The details are hazy right now but when you visit France, Egypt or China you will be given opportunities much like in your current The Sims 3 game and many of them are the beginning of fascinating fun-filled quests, such as a quest to retrieve ancient treasures from inside an Egyptian pyramid. As you venture through you will come across traps, make good and bad discoveries and will encounter all kinds of weird and wonderful characters and creatures! We’re trying to describe things without spoiling your fun here.
The Sims 3 World Adventures will without doubt be a huge seller, as are all The Sims expansion packs, and looks set to be a worth addition to the series which differs from the traditional expansions we’ve seen for The Sims and The Sims 2 in the past. Certainly a game worth grabbing when it’s released on November 16th 2009 - but don’t forget you must already own The Sims 3 for this game to run.
