On game date September 15, a biplane with the Microsoft logo will
appear.
Sick guests:
On game date January 1, more guests will be sick.
Halloween zoo:
Set your system date to October 31 and all guests and buildings will
turn orange and black. You can also see buy a jack-o-lantern at the
buildings and items menu and see a witch fly overhead. Note: The
last effects also happen on game date October 31.
Santa Claus:
On game date December 25, Santa Claus will fly overhead.
Christmas decorations:
On game date December 25th, you will be able to buy Christmas Trees
and Frosty the Snowman for your zoo.
More money:
Press (Shift) + 4 to get more money. Note: This will also make your
water dirty.
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup
copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the
"zoo.ini" file in the game folder. Scroll to the bottom of the file.
The tenth line from the bottom, should read "MSMaxcash 500000".
Change that number to any desired money value. You can only use this
trick for freeform mode.
Change pointer hand color:
Press [Ctrl] + C.
Triceratops:
After the game names an exhibit, rename it to Cretaceous Corral.
Unicorn:
After the game names an exhibit, rename it to Xanadu.
Ultimate zookeeper:
Select any male zoo keeper and rename him Jonathan Gilmour. You will
get a $20,000 donation, enhanced zoo keeper skills. Note: You may
first need to install this Trainer file in the game directory.
Hint: Mermaid:
Put the mermaid statue in a marine tank.
Hint: Photo Booth:
Unlock the Shark World level and the Photo Booth will also be
unlocked in the structures menu.
Hint: Bottlenose Dolphin statue:
Earn the Best Dolphin Show In The Country award.
Hint: California Sea Lion Statue:
Earn the Best Sea Lion Show In The Country award.
Hint: Elephant Seal statue:
Earn the Zoo Of The Year award.
Hint: Orca statue:
Earn the Best Orca Show In The Country award.
Hint: Iceberg:
Earn the Excellence In Arctic Exhibit Construction award.
Hint: Show Grandstand 2:
Win the Aquatic Show Park scenario.
Hint: Moving decorations:
If you put the clam or treasure chest in a tank filled with water,
both will open and close.
Yellow brick road footpath:
Place a lion, tiger, and a bear in an exhibit.
Trio statue:
Win the Super Zoo scenario.
Cheat: Change Color of Guests and Buildings
Change the name of one of your guests to one of the following to make all
guests and buildings that color:
Mr. Bue
Mr. Blonde
Mr. White
Mr. Orange
Mr. Pink
Get More Money
To get more money during gameplay, press the SHIFT key and the 4 key.
Name Cheats
Give a guest the following names for special effects:
"John Wheeler" - get all shelters
"Hank Howie" - all staff ed
Change Pointer Color
To change the pointer color, press CTRL+C during gameplay.
Unicorn Exhibit
Rename an exhibit to Xanadu to see the unicorn exhibit.
Hint: Get a Living Mermaid
Place a mermaid statue in a marine tank and the mermaid will come to life.
