Miyamoto Musashi
You need to unlock all other characters but Okuni and Mori Ranmaru if you want to unlock Miyamoto Musashi.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi
You need to finish Musou mode with Ishida Mitsunari if you want to unlock Toyotomi Hideyoshi .
Nene
You need to finish Musou mode with Toyotomi Hideyoshi if you want to unlock Nene.
Date Masamune
If you want to unlock Date Masamune you need to finish Musou mode with Saiga Magoichi.
Azai Nagamasa
You need to finish Musou mode with Oichi if you want to unlock Azai Nagamasa.
Takeda Shingen
You need to finish Musou mode with Uesugi Kenshin if you want to unlock Takeda Shingen.
Shima Sakon
You need to finish Musou mode with Ishida Mitsunari if you want to unlock Shima Sakon.
Keiji's 4th Weapon
If you want to get Keiji's weapon in the Battle Of Hasedou you need to get 1,000 kills on fourth stage.
Ina's 4th Weapon
On Ina's first stage you need to kill all the generals yourself.
Nouhime
If you want to unlock Nouhime you need to finish Musou mode with Oda Nobunaga.
Free Items
You need to create an "Interim Save" in any stage in Story mode. Choose "Quit" and Select the "Continue" option. Exit the map and you will go back to the previous screen. Select "Free mode". This will cancel your Interim Save. Pick a different character from the one you are using in Story mode and buy any items you want from the shop. Exit the shop and hold Start + Select at the stage selection screen to do a soft reset. You should now have the items you bought plus all your gold back.
Hattori Hanzou
You can unlock Hattori Hanzou with a saved game file on your memory card from the original Samurai Warriors. You can also unlock him by finishing Musou mode with Fuuma Kotarou.
Saiga Magoichi
If you want to unlock Saiga Magoichi you need to finish Musou mode with Akechi Mitsuhide.
Okuni
You need to finish Single Player Sugoroku mode if you want to unlock Okuni.
Inahime
You need to finsh Musou mode with Honda Tadakatsu if you want to unlock Inahime.
Maeda Keiji
You need to finish Musou mode with Naoe Kanetsugu if you want to unlock Maeda Keiji.
Naoe Kanetsugu
You need to finish Musou mode with Sanada Yukimura if you want to unlock Naoe Kanetsugu.
Uesugi Kenshin
You can unlock Uesugi Kenshin with a saved game file on your memory card from the original Samurai Warriors. You can also unlock him if you finish Musou mode with Naoe Kanetsugu.
Shimazu Yoshihiro
You need to finsh Musou mode with Tachibana Ginchiyo if you want to unlock Shimazu Yoshihiro.
Honda Tadakatsu
You can unlock Honda Tadakatsu with a saved game file on your memory card from Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends. You can also unlock him if you finish Musou mode with Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Oda Nobunaga
You need to finish Musou mode with Saiga Magoichi if you want to unlock Oda Nobunaga.
