Slightly Better Stats -SotN

The beginning of SotN has up against Dracula in a battle that is theoretically impossible to lose. However, if you manage to defeat Dracula in a short time and without taking a single hit, you will begin the game with Alucard having slightly stronger statistics, including a minor boost of 5 hit points.
Play as Maria & Richter

Description: Play as Maria or Richter in Symphony of the Night
How to: Win the game once through. Now, start a new game and name your character Maria or Richter to play as the specified character.
Infinite Gold

Description: Interested in making the max amount of money in the game (999,999)?
How to: Just be sure that as you attempt this trick that you have at least one sellable gem or jewel in your inventory (ex, Diamond). It must be unequipped. You must also have access to the Sword Brothers spell (via the Sword familiar).
Now, head to the Library, and go to the location of the Librarian, the game's only merchant. Stand next to his desk and cast Sword Brothers (Down, Down-Right, Right, Up-Right, Up (for 2 seconds), Down-Attack). If executed correctly, you can then chat to the Librarian as the spell is being cast.
Doing this will glitch the game, allowing you to access your inventory from the Librarian's own menu. Now, remember that unequipped jewel or gem we mentioned earlier? Equip it from this menu, then go to sell that very jewel or gem. However, it won't be sold. Instead, it will duplicate 255 times in your inventory, which you can then sell to the Librarian for massive amounts of gold, including the maximum amount of gold (if you have the patience).
The Stairs Glitch

If you're looking for a useful tip to get through Time Attack challenges, consider the following glitch. This glitch allows you to pass through walls, floors, across pits, and more. You can basically bypass everything once you fall through the floor. In order to accomplish this glitch successfully, you must 1st head to any staircase. Climb up to the middle of the stairs and stop. Now, walk back down to the lowest step.
From here, press down, and then quickly press backwards (pressing both simultaneously). If done properly, the character will have a foot on the stairs and another foot in or underneath or behind the floor you're trying to breach (that the stairs are connected to). When you see this, release back on the d-pad, and the character will fall completely through the floor to a glitched area underneath the stage.
If the glitch doesn't work, make sure of 2 things: that your character isn't facing the staircase, and that you're pressing down and backwards simultaneously. Also keep in mind that depending on where you are, the glitch may not work properly. You may get stuck and have to reset the game in certain areas. Maria is also preferable to Richter because she can jump higher and hence get out of these glitched areas more easily.
Alucard's Luck +20
The following works for the PSP version of Symphony of the Night, just as it worked on the original PSX version. Insert your name as X-X!V"Q …this will allow you to start the game with +20 Luck for Alucard, since you start with an item that increases your Luck an incredible amount.

Maria's Guardian Fist
You can play as Maria in the game, but she has a special attack, the Guardian Fist, that doesn't use hearts, and does massive damage. To execute the move, press Up, then Down, and then attack.
Alternate Stage 3
You will be chased by a minotaur in the middle of stage 2. As soon as the chase starts, drop into the sewer from the 1st hole in the ground.
How to unlock: Complete the stage via this sewer route and you will unlock the alternate version of stage 3.
***This alternate version of stage 3 is needed in order to unlock Symphony of the Night.
Rondo of Blood (Original)
Description: Unlock the original Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
How to: Go to the 4th stage of the remake. As you near the end of the stage, you will enter an area where you can destroy the lower section of a wall, which will make a bomb suddenly appear. By attacking the bomb, you can blow up the rest of the wall. Head into the adjoining secret area, traverse the platforms, kill the Axe Knights, and at the end of your trek, you will find the item that will unlock the original, non-3D Rondo of Blood.
Symphony of the Night
Description: Unlock the 1997 PSX classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
How to unlock: You must go to the alternate version of the 3rd stage in the 3D remake. Once there, head upward to the topmost level where you fight a bone snake that's attached to the wall. Left of the bone snake, hanging from the ceiling, is a green cage-like object you need to hit (Maria can hit it with her normal weapons and Richter may need an Axe subweapon). Hitting the green cage creates a platform that lets you jump to the upper row of platforms. Continue right along this upper row of platforms until you reach a white tomb stone. Destroy it and collect the pickup to unlock Symphony of the Night. (*** You do NOT need to complete the stage for the unlock to take.)
Maria
Description: Unlock Maria as a playable character in Rondo of Blood.
How to: Go to the 2nd stage, and go until you get to the area where the Minotaur enemy is chasing Richter. There will be candles for you to whip as you're being chased. Make sure to hit them all! One of them is holding a special key, which will appear as your sub-weapon. After the Minotaur chase ends, head to the end of the nearby sewer path. There will be a locked door. The Key sub-weapon will open it. Head on through, and Maria will now be a playable character.
Keep Alucard's Gear
Description: Keep all of Alucard's super-powerful equipment at the beginning of Symphony of the Night.
How to: Go through the initial 2 areas that are full of zombies and other weak enemies. When you arrive to the 3 room where you encounter Shaft, enter the room and then quickly exit. If done properly, the Shaft cutscene will be bypassed, and you will retain all of Alucard's initial super-powerful equipment. CHA-CHING!
