Car Bombing Antics
1. First, make sure you've got a buddy. This can't be done without two people. It's best to join a squad together and it makes things easier if you both have headsets.
2. One of you should spawn as an Infantry and the other has to spawn as a Scout.
3. Find a car, have the Infantryman get in it, but do not drive away yet. Have the Scout place a bunch of charges on the jeep. Have the Infantry player drive off towards a target, such as a base or a tank or a group of enemies.
4. If you are playing as the Scout and neither of you have a mic then make sure you watch the car at all times, use your rifle scope if necessary. When the car stops at the base or tank, blow the charges. If you both have mics then the Scout will not need to watch the car. The infantry player should tell the Scout to detonate the charges as soon as the infantry gets to the target.
5. Make sure the Infantry doesn't get out of the car. Because of Friendly Fire rules, neither the Infantryman or the car will be harmed when the charges are detonated. This means that you can bring the car back to the Scout and load it up with more explosives or have the Infantryman repair any damage done by enemies.
This tactic can net you plenty of kills and can make taking down tanks very easy. It can also help make captures much easier.
A car bomb with one person is also useful. Spawn as a scout, put charges on the front of a car and do not switch weapons -- hold the trigger in your hand. Get in the car, drive to a tank or some people, jump out and press the fire button if the car is near an enemy to detonate it.
Pro Tips
1) Infantry can fix all vehicles with the spanner. They also get points for repair. If you've just been hit by an infantry soldier's rocket: kill him and any other enemies around, jump out of the tank, pick up his kit and self heal yourself.
2) Tanks self repair in the spawn "huts" in Guadalcanal (Base and Airstrip) and Iwo Jima (Airstrip) as long as the area is controlled by your side.
3) Airplanes will repair if flown low enough over the airstrips or carrier strips. Again they have to be under your control.
4) If you are in control of a bombing run, keep checking your mini map. ALL enemies show on the map, so any enemies standing outside the shelter will show up. You may miss out on bombing a few enemies grouped together at their base, but it is better to kill the camper outside the air raid hut who's sitting there just waiting to blow you away the moment you come out.
5) Controlling points is the only way to win so, upon spawning, jump in a plane and go directly to the Airfield base on any of the maps. Parachute out and capture that base straight off. On each map, this will not only mean your team can spawn to the strongest point, but it also unlocks the bombing run, tanks and another plane for you to choose from straight away. SO you may have lost a plane, but now you have a new one and 30 more points.
6) All empty vehicles show up on the map. Keep an eye out for boats suddenly appearing around the base you are defending for an advantage over the attacking player. They will not know you are there, but you know they are.
7) A cheap and nasty tactic: using a sniper from within your spawn point will not gain you points usually. However, the anti aircraft area on the aircraft carriers does not count as 'in the base' so you can sit in the gun area and get points. This is especially useful on Iwo Jima when attacking the Lighthouse or Beach.
Quick Reload
If you need to reload quickly, press SQUARE, then right afterwards sprint a few feet. After that just hit SQUARE again and you will be reloaded.
