Shuttle Defense
To reach the second bonus stage you will need to complete Tokyo, Pacific Ocean, and Air Battle very quickly. If it's sunset when you reach the Desert stage you're already too late to save the shuttle.
Stage Select
During the intro scenes ( when you see the jets fly ) enter the following code: Up ( D-Pad), C-Down, left, C-Right, down, C-Up, right, C-left, L, R, Z. You should now hear a chime to tell you the code worked. Now select Main Game and pick the mission you want -- from Tokyo to Space.
Extra Pilot
On the title screen, (full screen logo, and "Press Start") NOT the main menu screen, press the following buttons: C-Left, C-Down, C-Right, C-Up, C-Left, C-Right, C-Down. Don't be discouraged when you don't hear a sound or see something new, because nothing will happen. Go to any plane select screen, and on the far left, you will see a new F-15 plane with a girl pilot.
Change Colors
Press R at the plane select screen. (NOTE: This trick only works in Main Game and Boss attack) It ain't really a trick but it can help a tad.
Level Select
In the intro before the planes fly press: (on the D-Pad)Up C-Down Left C-Right Down C-Up Right C-Left Z R L then goto main game then select a level.
Secret Passageway in Cave
When you start out in the cave, you start to go down. At the bottom there is a big open area. You have to get low and do half a loop, then twist yourself so you're not upside down. You might have to point the nose down a little and then you should see a grate. Fly through it without hitting it and you should see a little hole. Fly in it and your inside like a machine. Also before you go in the grate you can pull up and go to where you started. Fly out of the cave and there is AAA waiting you to blast you out of the sky!
Air Docking
To reach the first bonus you must complete Tokyo and the Pacific Ocean stages with a very high score.
Enable Spanky
Find and complete all 3 bonus missions in the game and Spanky, a new pilot, will be enabled.
Goliath Defense
The third bonus stage is played after Fortress if you have already won the first two bonus stages.
Super Turret Found in Ice Cave
Do the shortcut in ice cave trick, but before the shortcut, head upwards, and you should head back for the start of the level. You should end up in a secret chamber. Inside is a super turret that not even the best of the best players can beat, the turret will bring you down with a wave of fireballs, and you can't dodge them!
Second Paint Job for the Planes
Press R at the plane select screen. ( Only works in Main Game and Boss attack ) To select the alternate color in Death Match, Hold the R button while selecting your plane. ( Only works for the four original planes.)

There is a secret stage after you win the Ice Cave stage. It waits for a player who can complete all three bonus stages and all seven regular stages.

Kill Super X Walker without touching it
First go to main game and choose any character. next fly around Tokyo and do any thing you want but do not attack the super x walker, instead let your time run out. after your time runs out it shows a video of a tall building fold down and shoot two ninja beams and destroy the super x walker.
Watch the Earth Blow Up
If you want to see the earth blow up to nothing, go to the secret level, the moon. Then, try to live through the super ufo and run out of time. When you run out of time, the alien flies at the earth, releasing a bomb large enough to blow it up.

Enable Mao Mao
On the title screen, press: C-Left, C-Down, C-Right, C-Up, C-Left, C-Right, C-Down
Enemy Planes in Death match
For each normal mission you complete, a new plane will be added to the death match plane select menu. If you have Mao Mao and Spanky, that'll make 12 planes.
Watch New York City Blow Up
Want to see New York city go up in flames? Then go to Air Battle, and try to survive the F-22s and Refuel for a long time. When the time runs out in this level, you see the boss blow up New York in a nuclear explosion.
